The Heat Is On

Last night as I was getting out of the shower, I heard some brief whining outside, almost like a child crying. It didn't last long so I ignored it. About 30 minutes later, I was walking through the dining room and heard more noise outside. This time I recognized it as the unmistakable sound of a cat in heat, and it sounded like she was on the side porch. "Brrrowww, brrrowwww..." This morning as we were laying in bed trying to wake up, I heard the cat again. "Brrrrrooowww, Brrrowwww..." Our bedroom is on the opposite side of the house from the bathroom, so the cat must have been in the alley this time. Then later as I was getting ready to walk out the door, I heard it again, this time from the back porch. This is probably the fifth time we've had a cat in heat moaning around our house. What is it about our house that they like so much?? All I can say is that I hope a male cat will come around and put this girl out of her misery. I can't stand the whining!
